On your registration form, please mark whether you would like to attend the dinner, and if you have any dietary requirements.

Your presentation should be no longer than 20 minutes to allow for 10 minutes of question time following. In your abstract submission, please include the following information:

  • Your name

  • Your University, department and position (Honours, Masters of PhD)

  • Title of your paper or poster

  • An abstract of 100-200 words

  • A short biography

5

If you submitted an abstract during the first call for papers, but wish to change your submission, simply re-register and circle yes to indicate the form is being updated.

6

Are you studying at an Honours level? Presenting a paper at Amphorae is a large time commitment, so it would be worthwhile to check with your supervisor before submitting your abstract. If you wish to present your research, but are unable to devote the time to a full, 20 minute presentation, you may wish to consider a poster.

7

If you wish to present a poster rather than a paper, your poster should be A0. The posters will be displayed in the Classics museum on campus. While you will not be required to give a formal presentation, ensure you are able to speak about your research in an informal setting.

8

Access to computers, projectors and internet will be provided. If you have a powerpoint presentation accompanying your paper, put it on a USB and bring it along. Alternatively, we are able to connect to your personal computer directly with a VGA cable (Mac adapter also available).
